Continuing my explorations along the East Kaibab Monocline. For scale, there's a car going by on the highway in the center of the photo. The best way to start Monday - don't read the news, just scroll straight to the Spelling Bee, drink your coffee, then get outside.

I have to chuckle every time I think about the "Are You from Notom" sign.

Tourists visiting the area tend to flock to the well-known spots (Antelope Canyon, The Wave, etc.) but with a decent pair of trail runners and some navigation skills, there are wonders to be found everywhere.

From what I can tell, everybody goes to Cedar for shopping, though I will say from personal experience that the local clinic's pharmacy is fine. I hope it - and other rural health centers - can survive trump.
