I think it's also a bit off, because we have a specific word for this in Spanish. I always say 'Soy Estadounidense' if asked about it*, and like, that's the word. So actually we absolutely can see that some people want the distinction.

Well, here’s the thing about being antiwar as an ethical belief: it means you end up opposing most wars. Almost all of them, in fact. This is quite common in people who have consistent beliefs but looks insane to people who have none, or mostly just believe superior people should make the decisions.
I've said this elsewhere, but women don't need to literally stop having sex with men en masse for us to be treated like we're on a collective sex strike. The potential for us to keep being more autonomous and exercise alternative options is being treated just like one, and invites backlash.
it’s hilarious because “women don’t wanna have children because they fear men won’t contribute” is basically validated with “men want children because it’s, like, a milestone”, the only way that makes sense is with the implicit assumption that women will do the reproductive labor.

It's a convoluted argument - they claim Ukraine was attacked because it wasn't in NATO. Then when you point out Russia can't even take over a non-NATO country they start jibbering about how if NATO didn't exist, Russia would pull out some secret weapons and immediately attack the UK.
