Any positives in the "wide array of options"?

They'd probably prefer her to Josh Hawley, who replaced her.
Whether or not Martin O'Malley is right for the DNC, I don't know. But, his commitment to a 50 state strategy IS necessary for the future of the Democratic party, and it's something all hopefuls should seriously consider.
I don't like it, but I understand. Burying their head in the sand won't help and, unfortunately, he is president. Doubt the relationship lasts long, though.
"...those in OโMalleyโs orbit describe a desire to build out a modern 50 state strategy. The original 50 state strategy from Howard Dean shepherded Democrats through the 2006 and 2008 elections, a time when OโMalley was considered one of the bright rising stars in the party." 50 state, yes.
Do you think it was an issue with the messengers themselves, the media at large, or something else/a combination of somethings?
The cake looks phenomenal. Recipe/video?
A worthwhile read by @adamjentleson.bsky.social Democrats do need ambitious โ supermajority, really โ thinking. More than anything, they need to focus on winning ASAP. Can't change policy if you're not in the Senate, House, and White House. www.nytimes.com/2024/11/16/o...

For people that feel lost on what to do, running for something is the best thing you can do. Democrats need a strong grassroots game, and this is the place to begin.
Quentin Tarantino must've known about this.
The aspect Democrats can do something about, I think, is reapplying Howard Dean's 50 state strategy. A legitimate grassroots movement, meeting people on the ground and running people that fit their needs โ leaving no race unchallenged should be a serious goal.
I editing together a collection of the inaugurals before it got picked up for publication by Oxford University Press (set for next month right now). Not a historian, just someone interested in history. There are a LOT of ways to approach publishing.
I like it. I hope more buildings do something like this in the future.
I'd second Pete, barring Howard Dean wanting the role.
1. Pete's one of the best communicator's in the party & can go everywhere.
2. Would do a great job at bridging divides between factions.
3. Seems cool-headed & able to think things through.
Whoever it is needs to revive the 50 state strategy.
I refuse to join Bluesky โ I donโt want to become part of an ecce chamber
Feels true, at least. Posted more here than I ever did on Twitter.
I guess the pressing question is whether or not they'll have any teeth? Though I guess making them a more prominent voice will give them some teeth.
Probably one of my favorite articles from earlier this year by @jamellebouie.net Betteridge's law of headlines says "no", but I hope I'm wrong.

So far, @bsky.app is the least frenetic social media site I've been a part of. My nerves can finally start to calm down ๐ฎโ๐จ
The decline in safe vs. swing states seems to imply that the strategy wasnโt necessarily bad, but also time limited. Still, this shows that a real 50 state strategy is all but necessary.
Bring back Dean.
Who's the kind of person that you think shouldn't lead the DNC? The name I've seen that's caused the most tension (outside looking in) is Rahm Emanuel.
I like Ryan Reynolds, but I'll never understand why 2011s GL movie wasn't John Stewart, especially when the Justice League cartoon was so popular.
