This map of Putrajaya, Malaysia shows the city and its iconic architecture.
2nd #map for my #PastelMapSeries is #Putrajaya, the 3rd federal territory of #Malaysia. The last time I visited this city was last year, I was quite in awe of it's beauty and how much potential MY has in urban planning (unlike KL lol). I'm glad to be back for a bit tho! :)

Thanks! I created a custom style and also changed the atmosphere settings to get the sunset look. Used the style for my web map then just tweaked the setSnow() parameters π

Customize the calibration using the Pro Display Calibrator
On your Mac, choose one of the options in the Pro Display Calibrator to recalibrate supported displays.
I do because of my display type (support.apple.com/guide/mac-he...) :/ I donβt have this desaturation problem with any other graphics editing softwares and even Blender so personally I think itβs a qGIS issue. I will try to troubleshoot with someone elseβs computer. Thanks for your suggestion!

Unfortunately I donβt have a spectroradiometer to calibrate my MacBook screen. The exports are PNG/PDF with 300 DPI.

Another recent example. Left: in qGIS layout view; Right: PDF export viewed in Adobe Acrobat. I tried reducing DPI and exporting as TIF/PNG/PDF, changing project properties color mode to CMYK and still not resolved. #gischat

Yes. But in that case shouldnβt the export still look the same on my computer screen? The problem Iβm having now is it looks diff after export when viewed on the same screen. I use a Mac without external monitors.

Why does #qGIS always reduce the saturation for my exports??? Is there a setting I'm missing? Left: Before export, Right: After export. It's worse with raster data... #gischat #help

I wanted to experiment making a series of maps with pastel colors. I lived in ATX for 9 yrs and spending time in Lake Travis was always a blast! The first map is a map of Lake Travis in Austin, TX. I spent quite some time playing with the hypsometric tint and creating the shaded relief. #maps

Day 25: Heat. π I recently visited my first #volcano, Mt. Etna. Although I didn't see the main active crater, the geologist in me was nerding out! Is this a map? Idk but it was made with Copernicus DEM and ESRI imagery using qGIS, #Blender, Illustrator. #30daymapchallenge #3d

After transforming the raster with gdal and data processing w Python, I used qGIS, Photoshop & Illustrator to make the map. Itβs heavily inspired by this NatGeo map (mapworld.com.au/products/moon-β¦).

Hello Bluesky! π Check out my latest map made out of curiosity as I tried out this open repository (github.com/eleanorlutz/moβ¦). I experimented with new tools, like gdal and other Python packages. Not really participating in the #30DayMapChallenge, but this fits the Day 13 theme! #cartography #moon
