It's been a good afternoon. @rossisdead.bsky.social gets all pretentious with beer in a basket while @stanfan.bsky.social looks on in amazement.

Steelfish pint of cask being poured through an Angram handpull system
Line up of three cask at the Steelfish taproom
A vegan cheese and onion cob to buy at Steelfish taproom
Tub of pickled eggs at Steelfish Taproom
Its only been open two weeks, but I’ve been to @steelfishbrewco.bsky.social Taproom three times.
Im quite enjoying it.
Throwback railway arch taproom vibes, now with added pickled eggs.
Red barrel, Watneys dimple mug glass on a pib bench with flat looking orangey brown cask half filling it
Excellent glass I drank from recently, the beer inside, not so much.
Oliver Twist bar and punters. Every inch of wall and ceiling is covered in beer stickers and signs and flags. Drinkers crowd the bar.
Maximalist view of Oliver Twist, Stockholm.
Amazing bar with all sorts on including cask, but on my trip this time I got Nynashamns Angbryggeri ‘Festbier’ straight from the barrel.
Feels more like an older Swedish beer nerd vibe to the punters inside, compared to the young buck brewery bars nearby.
Chalkboard screwed to a pallet telling you where to go for the Leigh On Sea Brewery and its opening times
Leigh On Sea Brewery ‘Mayflower’ best bitter cask handpull with a Lifeboats charity collection box next to kt
Rabbit statue underneath a Leigh On Sea Brewery sign down the aide of a building
Two pints of beer in the Leigh On Sea Brewery taproom
Leigh On Sea Brewery taproom is a unique set up to say the least. It’s a cozy build tucked away behind what I think are office buildings, surrounded by some other office buildings, and industrial estates.
The beer is good, the welcome warm.
Good spot to chat away the hours.
Purple slushie beer sat outside Omnipollo’s Hatt bar in Stockholm
The slushie machine on the bar in Omnipollo’s Hatt
Look behind the bar of Omnipollo’s Hatt with beer board, glasses, bottles and Palestine flag
The neon sign of Omnipollo’s Hatt
Spent a lot of my time in Stockholm on a recent trip drinking slushie beer at Omnipollo’s Hatt, and I couldn’t be happier about it.
Outside of The Wenlock Arms
Pint of Tennents and Burning Sky ‘Plateau’ cask in the Wenlock Arms
Cheese toasties and pints at The Wenlock Arms
Beautiful Wenlock Arms mirror and mantlepiece
First visit to The Wenlock Arms.
Great cask, cheeky Tennent’s in London, tasty af cheese toasties.
Was a lovely place to sit with the doors open, and the sun shining.
I’ll be back.
We did indeed.
@maristhotter.bsky.social bsky wont let me DM, but thanks again for Saturday. Owe you some pints!
Two steins (maß for the pedants) of Augustiner Edelstoff at their keller in Munich
Barman pouring steins of Edelstoff straight out the wooden barrel at Augustiner Keller
Someone grabbing big Edelstoff maß glasses at Augustiner Keller
The biergarten of Augustiner Keller in the sun
Augustiner Keller is the heaven place on earth that song is on about.
Three deer laying in the shade in an enclosure right next to the biergarten
Deer laying in the shade in an enclosure right next to the biergarten
What’s a little extra special about this place is it right next to a deer enclosure. So while you sip on some of the best beers in the world you can see the deer strolling round having a relaxed ol’ time.
A really bloody good way to spend a few hours.
Half little glass stein on a beer garden bench on a sunny day in the park
The biergarten benches and buildings inbetween sunny trees
A little truck that goes around collecting glasses
A hand pattern barrel lad of the augustiner helles monk
Lovely time in Munich, with a trip to Hirschgarten on the last day.
A short way away from some palaces, this biergarten was a nice escape from the heat and maximalism of German royalty.
Collect your glass, go to the kiosk, get it filled, and pay. Easy as.
Tergernsee Spezial was pouring nicely.
Cask line up of Coley’s beer with some beer pints in from
Pint of Coley’s cask being poured on an angram handpull at Port Street Beer House, with a pint of stout sitting on the bright gold drip tray.
Lee, owner and head brewer of Coley’s, stands chatting holding a laced pint of bitter
Shot from inside port st of a man sipping a pint of cask outside the window
Took some pics at the Coley’s Brewery tto at Port Street Beer House last week.
Night time outside The Palm Tree with orange lighting, tiled pub, and drinkers scattered round on plastic chairs
Two pints of Guinness on a round table bathed in beight irange light inside the pub
Busy at The Palm Tree with curtains and old pictures on the bar above a crowd of people
At the second time of trying we got to The Palm Tree, Mile End Park when it was open, and it was worth the wait. Another world when you stepped in with the lighting. Cash only, circular bar in the middle, really good jazz band playing.
Just a shame we only had enough notes for a few of pints.
Pint of Guinness, two oysters and some tabasco and onions in The Cow
People sat chatting and drinking in The Cow
Stained glass window in The Cow, of a big heffer
I’m veggie so didn’t eat the oysters, but I loved The Cow, London, and it was some of the best Guinness I’ve ever had.
Pint of Queer Brewing cask with my Queer Brewing hat next to it
The cask line up of Chesham Arms
If you ain’t matching your pint with your hat then are you even boozing.
My first pint of @queerbrewing.bsky.social cask, ‘Bitter Old Queen’ at Chesham Arms.
Its a lovely hat, and im sure a lovely man.
Orange pint of cask from howling hops on a red table
Blurry pint in foreground with a well dressed man sat at the bar in the background
Picture of the pub with wooden floors, people drinking and chatting and a small dog sat up on one of the tables
Pint of Howling Hops ‘Wait for Me’ on cask at The Cock Tavern.
The red table, the regular’s hat, the pup on alert; great scenes for a beer.
🍻 🎂 Birthday Weekender Next Week! 🎂 🍻
A little reminder that we’ll be throwing a party all next weekend with some fantastic things going on each day at Balance Taproom.
Deleted now.
Can I just ask about your shirt, how do you get it so clean?
Sam Smiths metal tray with six hourse pulling a Sam Smiths branded kart
The internet gods shone down on me this week, and showed me to this second hand beauty.
Half drank pint of Unbarred Brewery ‘Albion’ with lots of lacing
Samosas and pints on the table at The Gladstone
Another pint and mini chilli cheese toasts
View over the bar of The Gladstone Arms with a few patrons and staff chatting.
The Glad
First visit to The Gladstone Arms. Solid pints and delicious food. Hopefully get back for a full meal soon.
Pint of Harvey’s Sussex Best with a yellow pint of Siren
From the side of the bar at The Harp seeing the cask lines and handpulls
A few people sat in The Harp drinking with the big window open looking out over the street
Every time I’m in London I end up at The Harp, Covent Garden drinking Harvey’s ‘Sussex Best’.
One of my favourite pubs, and it was good to be their in the sunshine with the windows open, watching people shuffle by.
This was my first visit, will definitely be back.
Pint of fuller’s lond pride cask in a branded glass on a wooden table
View over the bar and patrons of Lord Clyde, with carpets, curtained entrance, wooden bar and gold beams holding glasses
Pint of Fuller’s ‘London Pride’ at the beautiful boozer Lord Clyde, Southwark.
Canal boat floats close by with my can of Track ‘Arosa’ on a table
Long walk yesterday ended with a can of @trackbrewingco.bsky.social from Tawny Stores by the canal. Lovely stuff.

A pale ale being pour from a very mini keg
Another excellent bottle share @balancebrew.bsky.social yesterday.

Two glasses and a bottle of Pliny the Elder
Can of Green Cheek Brewing collab with Brujos Brewing called ‘the chalice of power’. A 2x Mash DDH QIPA.
View of Stoked Vegan BBQ. With a big PRETZEL WAGON sign over the bar.
American 🐋 🐳 down in Southend at Stoked Vegan BBQ. Amazing place doing tasty af vegan food, with a fridge full of US treats.
Pliny is obvs still great, but it’s a testament to the current UK beer scene that it doesn’t feel as far ahead as it once did.
We got invited to Parliament to talk about our UNESCO campaign on the same day that our petition to get cask ale recognised as Living Heritage went live on the government website!

Jack black, paul rudd, justin long and jason Schwartzman as the beatles in the film Walk Hard: The Dewey Coz Story
This is the definitive version of The Beatles on film, and always will be.
