If you took $1 billion and gave it to the endowment of a different small college each day, they could each provide a free college education to several hundred students per year in perpetuity. Instead we are using that money to bomb schools and kill students in Iran, for no clearly stated purpose.

Last year, we documented nearly 50 incidents of immigration officers shattering car windows to make arrests โ€” a tactic experts say was rarely used before Trump took office.

ICE claims its officers use a โ€œminimum amount of force.โ€ You can judge for yourself.

Oklahoma legislature advances bill that would remove tenure at OU, public universities The Oklahoma legislature advanced a bill Tuesday that would remove the possibility of tenure for OU faculty, limit contract agreements to five years and require each state institute for higher

Tenure protects facultyโ€™s right to teach & studentsโ€™ right to learn. It's integral to the pursuit of knowledge and research, and to free speech and expression. Scrapping tenure silences educators & stymies medical research. @AFT.org & @AAUP.org are fighting this www.oudaily.com/news/oklahom...

Proud to share that my new publication, SANCTIONED BIGOTRY, is available for preorder.

This 624-page volume of primary sources produced between 1654 and 2024 highlights anti-Jewish bigotry, discrimination, and violence in the US.

Trump nominated a legit white nationalist to a top post at the State Department. I asked him some basic questions about his belief in the โ€œerasure of white cultureโ€. Watch this embarrassing, fumbling answer. Like he has never before been asked to explain his views.

Millions of Americans Donโ€™t Have Documents Proving Their Citizenship Readily Available Requiring Americans to prove their citizenship to register to vote would exclude millions of citizens from the political process.

More than 21 millions Americans do not have documentation proving their citizenships, and would be disenfranchised by the SAVE Act the GOP just passed through the House. www.brennancenter.org/our-work/ana...

Disasters of Biblical Proportions How people have reimagined the story of the ten plagues of Egypt, from antiquity to our own era of relentless catastrophe

I've not been able to post here because I have been busy writing the book below, but now I have to find readers for it. It explores how people have reimagined the ten plagues, an ancient story that resonatesdeeply in our own age of never-ending disaster.

Tweet from Ambassador Rabbi Yehuda Kaploun: "Ignorance like this cheapens the horror of the Holocaust. Anne Frank was in Amsterdam legally and abided by Dutch law. She was hauled off to a death camp because of her race and religion. Her story has nothing to do with the illegal immigration, fraud, and lawlessness plaguing Minnesota today.

Our brave law enforcement should be commended, not tarred with this historically illiterate and antisemitic comparison."

Murals, statues sprinkled around SU represent remnants of rich art history Decades ago, SU had a flourishing art scene that has since changed. However, for some students and professors, the campusโ€™ rich public art is a way to keep history alive.

Thoroughly enjoyed speaking with an SU student journalist about Ben Shahn's "The Passion of Sacco and Vanzetti" campus mural. dailyorange.com/2026/01/publ...

You know what law was intended to prevent state legal regimes from racially profiling families and abducting children who might be caught without a parent? The Civil Rights Act of 1866. You know, the law to dismantle the Black Codes.
