A question for my Ground War players while I work on expanding the rosters: do you have any unit archetypes that are a must have in a wargame for you? Or even, what's your favorite real world type of vehicle you want to see a Vertigo version of? Think stuff like tilt-rotors or HMMWV equivalent.
Version 0.3 is now available for Vertigo: Ground War! Big highlights are QoL improvments, overhauled BVR combat, and new rules for building elements with more options and less math.

Just got home from GenCon. Had a great time, met some great people and even ran into a few that were already familiar with Vertigo. I honestly didn't expect that. Figured it would take longer for it to spread like that. #GenCon #Wargaming #TTRPG #RPG #indie
I'm going to be at GenCon next week. Just a visitor this time but maybe I'll be able to go as a vendor in the future.
Been quiet for longer than I would have liked. Day job got super busy with crunch time around a new product release, luckily that went smoothly.
Progress on Vertigo has still continued. Mostly on Ground War, adjusting scale from squads to platoons and making element customization easier.

The RKG-3 has always been an interesting grenade to me mechanically. A drag chute to align the heat charge to the target tank is such a simple idea that works. I'm sure that wasn't much comfort to anyone who actually had to use it. Wouldn't want to get in throwing distance of a tank.

2nd proof arrived, this time it's gloss and with all the fixes from the first. I'm thinking the matte feels more professional. Next up, hard cover.
The first print proof has arrived! Definitely have some more work to do on it, like switching to a gloss cover, but it's nice to finally hold it.
Update on physical copies: Had to change print companies but now I've got the first proof ordered! Sadly, this does mean I'll have to reformat the hardcover version since KDP doesn't offer an 8x5x11 hardcover, only 8.25x11 at the largest, but that shouldn't be too much of a delay.

Do you like space ships? Vertigo's Fleet Action expansion is all about letting players control fleets of spaceships and the inevitable battles that take place. It's currently in beta and has a new update coming soon, new cover included.

I'm amused by the influx of people downloading Vertigo's Fleet Action expansion, but not the corebook. It can be played standalone, so it's not required, but interesting none the less. They'll all be happy to know I've been working on the update for that book.
I see that. Definitely using some of the same parts. I do love that they just left the picatinny rail on the dust cover for its mount. First time I've noticed that on any Star Wars blaster.
It also looks like it continues the trend of using the Armson Occluded Eye Gunsight, but without the clear bit on front like the rebel's DH-17.
I definitely chose the longest 3-5 business days to be waiting for the eProof of my book.

In other news, Vertigo's files have been sent to the print company. Just waiting on digital proof, then physical proof. Assuming all goes well, hard and soft cover prints of Vertigo will be available soon(TM).
