IDGAF which one is used, the real issue is having to switch from one to the other twice a year

It’s unimaginable how dangerous it would be to have the capability to time travel… someone might go back, inadvertently change something in the past that recreated extensive sequences of events, ultimately resulting that they no longer existed.

Another claim is that hydrogen with oxygen got us to the moon… arguably the vehicles are essentially single-use disposable fuel tanks; and other, more economical & environmental alternatives are being researched

I appreciate your optimism; here’s the issues to solve: actually making hydrogen from water is the easy part, the difficult part is to make the hydrogen portable. It has to be highly compressed into a container similar to a scuba tank.

The claims that “hydrogen is the most abundant substance in the universe,” and “the exhaust is water” seem like positives… except H2 isn’t really a fuel, but a storage medium; and pollution caused by autos is as bad from their production as it is from their operation

Years ago, one of my pals converted a diesel car to run on waste fryer oil, using a refiner he made out of an old water heater in his garage. The process by-produced glycerin, which turned out to be more valuable as a soap ingredient than the fuel it produced

What works for EV tech is that people can easily “refuel” at home; using PV panels, small wind turbines, micro-hydro, or even off-peak grid power. This is not in the interests of big energy…
They push hydrogen because it enables them to maintain a piece of the action.
