There are a plethora of movements we humans do that most robot designs couldn't dream of. That's why these robots are built to look like us.

We've obviously been hanging around different crowds, because I haven't seen many complaints or uncanny valley ideas when it comes to humanoid robots.

Here's the issue with non-human shaped robots, though. We've built our homes and our cuties to accommodate the human form. A non humanoid robot-

We can't really predict public reception to it until it's already been widely implemented, so we'll just have to wait and see.

Either way, these things aren't going away.

These robots are built to be incorporated into our human built society, so they must be human shaped.

one thing i’m stuck on is this idea that “masculine” energy means license to act like a chud in public, as opposed to more traditional notions of public masculinity, such as those that put a premium on the performance of integrity, honesty, honor and generosity.

I mean, I get that colleges create a lot of value, but imagine any other business making you beg for the chance to give them $50,000.

T-Rex: Luckily, since it IS the past, we can all ABSOLUTELY agree on what happened. Since events are knowable and non-changing - just like ourselves! - there is never any disagreement on what or even IF something happened, and these disagreements don't THEMSELVES change over time, suggesting the need for a "history of history", or "historiography", if you will.

As I gear up to do some astrophysics literature review report marking today, I’m reminded of the 4th year report I read years ago that started with the line, “Since the start of the Universe, a lot has changed.”
