Aging Canadian Curmudgeon engaged in an experimental life. I'm here because I love art, photography, science and humour. Oh, and Linux, I love Linux... I share the *credited* work of others by repost or upload NB: I often go weeks without being online.

If his boosters don't think it's important enough for a link why would I second guess them? I accept their judgement that it's a waste of time.
Stunning images! Delighted to have found your account.
I appreciate the effort, but the archive pirate sites are documented to copy visitors devices into bot attacks.

So we're expected to do a web search to get a link to the story? Or is it less than it appears so they only want the headline shared?
These posts should contain links to the stuff they're touting. Carney's social media team is incompetent.
Either empty murmurs, or like this one, seemingly substantive items lacking their substance.
I enjoyed Vegas for a couple junkets a year. But knowing that even the hospitality unions got in line to support those who make war on my country means I'll never go back. Even after Trump, you have shown who you are.
Tax free tips? Easy, I'll keep 'em so you needn't worry about them being taxed.

And after taking a weird parting shot she blocked me to prevent a reply. C'est la vie. :)
Lol. I returned to find a steam of replies from you, but you "let it go" and I'm the one who needs to get a life.
On creative use, if you refuse to connect the dots no one can connect them for you.
How is it fine to wholesale reuse someone's work? Where does it stop? At printing posters? At wallpaper packs? Why one not the other?
If there's a contest to post your fav movies, is it okay to post the full Avatar film because "that's how it works"?
For the record, reposting is understood as acceptable use because it is a clean frame of the creator's post.
The "upload" reference in my profile is re: local Saskatoon creators, not downloading from their social media and reposting to my own.
mjlinde when I asked you about this weeks ago you replied that you only post other's work with their permission. Now I see you claiming a right to do so because it allows you to "participate." That's not how fair play works. So who is the rude one?
As a Canadian who lost to two great American hockey teams, I'm glad that a lot of gold got taken home to Minnesota, the real land of the brave. Your people have shown there's still an America we can love. Gz on a stellar Olympics.
If it's Debian 13 then it won't support old 32 bit processors, right? Just a little confused by the article ending with "ideal for computers... 15 or 20 years ago." I've had to use Debian 12.
Leaked image of the Trump cabinet checking out the remains of Gaza. Oh my. (But honestly great photo :)
Been curious about these kinds of "protections" for a while. How can a service claim they've not been subject to a secret warrant if it's a crime to disclose a secret warrant? Does it work by the omission of the claim at some point being the canary?
I'm lucky that I haven't noticed them on Bluesky. If they're here they should be blocked. The malware risk is very, very high and the owner, as noted in the article, goes to great lengths to evade accountability.
Hello there...
Look who I met in the desert. π«£

I love this shot. The composition with the spikes of the plant and luscious green textures serving as an appropriate court for this regal creature. Thank you for your amazing shares.
It is worth noting that the offending sites are prolific on Reddit to pirate subscriber content behind pay walls. Undoubtedly many of the hijacked botnet machines are reddit users.
So "made in 'murca" barriers are genius when done by Red America but made-in-Europe is madness when done by Free Europe.
It's oddly spelled h-y-p-o-c-r-i-t-e but it's pronounced "Republican."
No one should make significant investment decisions based on this ruling. It is likely that new tactics and more disruptive executive action will replace the impugned tariffs.
Expect any relief to be psychological and short-lived.

Context: New auto sales in Canada 2024 - 1.9 million. Total allowed in from China under the deal - 49,000.
So 0.0258th of the existing market. Ooo, so scary
But let's not let the facts or good judgement get in our way.
Brain worms for everyone.
Great link btw.
I appreciate the insight. It's counterintuitive that they invested enough to make it ready for FDA approval but it's not economic to pursue in other markets. Seems like they're just locking in sunk costs. Oh well.
Just found your account, and love the images you choose. In particular these fungi shots are amazing. Thank you for sharing your eye.

I really hope Health Canada moves these vaccines forward in our regulatory process. Vaccines like the Moderna one have the potential to be major economic booster shots as they reduce sick days, health care costs and yes, even death.
Canada needs any advantage it can get to transition away from USA.
