Deep, deep sigh.
Deep, deep sigh.
He is the most Targaryen-looking Targaryen to have been committed to film.
It's almost uncanny. He really got every nuance while also looking like an illustration come to life.
But this show would not work without Peter Claffey and Dexter Sol Ansell. They were note perfect the whole way through. Ansell is such a phenomenal actor for someone so young. I hope they protect him at all costs.
I am very sad we will probably not see Lyonel again because the Laughing Storm was the MVP of the season. Daniel Ings stole every scene he was in and some he was not.
Raymun Fossoway might possibly be the nicest person in Westeros and I'm certain the new Lady Rowan Fossoway will be a formidable presence in the Reach for years to come. The dimples on their children will be insane.
Egg leaving again without his father's permission is a funny coda to the end of the season though I assume Dunk will have Maekar's official blessing by the start of the next season.
Besides looking like he walked right out of a Wiki of Ice and Fire, Sam Spruell captured Maekar's complexity really well. He loves his sons desperately but has no idea how not to make them into disasters. That scene of him and Egg next to Aerion's bedside spoke volumes about the family dynamic.
The finale of A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms was as low key as I expected it to be but still a beautiful end to a near perfect season of television.
The fact that no one from BAFTA personally apologized to Lindo and Jordan is just unforgivable. They've been put in an awful situation.
Quite apart from politics, which is how so many blinkered people see this issue, no reporter at your local school committee board or town council meeting means no one is watching when someoneβs brother-in-law gets a no-bid contract. The increase in penny ante corruption must be breathtaking.
Thoughts and ice packs to all my fellow migraineurs who are going through it because of the upcoming storm. On my second migraine in 4 days after not having any for 8 months.
The girl knows how to hang.
I think this is who Alysia Liu would be if she lived in Westeros.
I know James Norton has been in a ton of things and looking forward to him in HOTD but he will always be Hot Vicar to me.
Getting shown up in the arena of elite impunity by *the British monarchy* is an incredible βAmerica at 250!β achievement
The fact that Andrew got arrested on his birthday just makes it even better.
Never in a million years did I ever fathom when I resurrected the Epstein story in 2018 that it would lead to first arrest of a British Royal in four centuries. Not since King Charles I was arrested in 1647.

A delight as always!
3. The reappearance of the Razor Crest gives me as much pause as the reappearance of Kyle Ren's stupid helmet in TROS.
Two thoughts on The Mandalorian and Grogu trailer so far:
1. Oh, they actually got Pedro on set for this!
2. ZEB!
I knew what was coming but that Knight of the Seven Kingdom episode was brutal in the very best way.
RIP, Robert Duvallβ¦ β₯οΈ
I read the novella and am too scared to watch this episode.
I think Johnny Weir just invented the world cashmerical.
I managed to go back and find it!
And one day, under his tutelage, those skaters shall kill Superman
Some good news at least.
I would have liked to see the medal ceremony.
I'm still sorta stunned by that figure skating final.
