In each of these sentences, a verb that doesn't usually encode motion is being used to convey that an object is moving to a destination.
Given that these usages are rare, complex, and creative, we ask:
Do LLMs understand what's going on in them?

The average time until a first decision in 2025 so far was 78.5 days. However, the variance is rather high (ranging from 39 to 190 days), which is mainly due to delays in finding action editors and reviewers. Having more volunteers would help improve the journalβs efficiency immensely.
How active is NEJLT even? As of now, there has only been 1 publication in 2025, although we have handled a total of 18 submissions, and more submissions are close to reaching the publication stage. This means that a lot of the journalβs work is not immediately visible, even though there is activity.
The biggest bottleneck for NEJLTβs operations is currently finding, contacting, and recruiting suitable volunteers, such as action editors for a new submission. At the moment, this is all handled solely by me, @marcel.bollmann.me, as the NEALT editor-in-chief.
The raison d'Γͺtre of NEJLT, in a nutshell, is to offer an additional publication venue outside the usual conference cycles with journal-style reviewing and fast turnaround. The journal has a global focus and is entirely open-access.
