There was someone a month or so ago making fairly legitimate looking complaints about how poorly the COPVs were handled and how damage may have been done to them. To be fair the person was recently fired before he made the stink on twitter though, so..🤷♂️ I have seen it, very bad mood at Starbase, no consideration for workers, stupid micro managers, people drunk at work ... And they’re right. Safety is a low priority at spacex, and especially at Starbase. It’s really bad. They cut every corner known to man. The EMS contractor they have down there isn’t registered with the state, so they’re not 911-level care. The medical director is a PM&R doctor (so rehab) with no prehospital care experience. For folks not aware of PM&R, having this doctor handle EMS is like going to a podiatrist when your arm gets cut off and you’re bleeding out. If you get really hurt Brownsville fire can come but it takes them 30 minutes on a good day because they’re so far away. Now that Starbase is a city they need to transition to a 911-level ambulance team, but they haven’t… so that tells you a lot about how much safety matters to them. Oh and I’ve been told that the contractors ambulances (which are vans) are almost always broken down. I don’t suggest getting hurt while at Starbase.

When I was on #atxcouncil we voted down a multi-million dollar facility for police horses – over objections of how necessary they were for crowd control.
Seems like having horses doesn't control anything and the animals are put in harms way just to further brutality.
Rep @doggett.house.gov made a good point at a town hall earlier this year. He makes these points about Trump, GOP, etc when doing interviews but the media cuts those parts out when they run it. Sure the message can be better but do we have distribution?

They keep making the same mistake that the electorate is fixed and adding from the right is the only way to win.
The reality is that only the right is fixed at 30-35%. Elections are won when we turn out the left. Going "right" will fail and you'll lose the left at the same time.
The nitpicking on candidates and electeds actually doesn't bother me. Intense oversight and scrutiny comes with the gig. It's that it doesn't seem to apply evenly and that opens the door to escalating corruption.

Say it plainly @texastribune.org – Republicans want to eliminate the existence of LGBTQ people. This has nothing to do with sexually explicit. Repeating their framing of it is malpractice.
