You can get away with playing players out of position to fill gaps in a Mickey Mouse league, but not if you want to compete in PL or CL. Pep is backed if needed. That’s what bothers me the most. It feels like they’re willingly throwing the season to target the summer.

I disagree with that. Frimpong is in my view a right winger who can be a situational full back, just like Gomez or Dom can play the position situationally, but you need to throw away the FA cup games if you want to keep your defense fresh enough. We can’t afford any other injury at this point.

The problem is that we are more or less giving op on winning anything this season because we’re missing the necessary squad depth to compete at this level. While City are giving Pep every chance/margin to win.

Losing Guehi (and to a lesser extent Semenyo) is not a good look for Hughes and Edwards. Leaving Slot hanging to dry with a depleted squad while Man City are giving Pep every chance to compete. If we can get Champions League next season we should already be happy.

I can confirm that I have thoroughly enjoyed reading these novels. I really liked the setting and the way the novels build upon each other and put some teases in for future stories. Looking forward to the next one and I hope you’ll be allowed to really explore and expand this universe.

Frimpong at RB, LB maybe Kerkez. A new CB like Schlotterbeck. Defense will be very price conscious. No midfield this summer. I think they will look at Bajcetic or a youngster to step up. No more then 2 new forwards.They are expensive. Maybe Pedro and 1 real splash like Nico Williams (I wish).
