The US can sustain low-intensity, unguided bombing pretty much indefinitely. It's also not every effective.
The Iranians can sustain low intensity drone launches pretty much indefinitely. It's going to piss off everyone nearby who's not the US and mess up the straits.
TL;DR: long war benefits Iran
The Iranians have no incentive to negotiate. There will be no ceasefire. Trump will not choose their next leader. The war will continue until Trump gets bored or the current Iranian regime collapses from within.
