History made at the World Junior Figure Skating Championships today! For the first time ever, Canadian pairs finished 1-2 in the pairs event at the Championships. Ava Kemp & Yohnatan Elizarov were the first Canadian pair to win the World Junior title since Barbara Underhill and Paul Martini in 1978.

After a shocking men's event at the #MilanoCortinaGames, Mikhail Shaidorov has made history as the first figure skater from Kazakhstan to win an Olympic gold medal.
Canada's Stephen Gogolev finished second in the free skate, moving up from tenth to fifth overall.
