I have written to Criterion Capital expressing my deep concern at reports that they are mass evicting Londoners from their homes, and urging them to reconsider.

Mayor of London Sadiq Khan says London Centric's investigation shows the need for greater regulation of the algorithms on sites such as TikTok to stop "bad faith actors spreading hate for clicks".

"Accounts are talking London down because the algorithms reward them for doing so," he says.

London’s homicide rate per capita is the lowest since records began, with the fewest murders of those aged under 25 this century, thanks to relentless work by the Met Police
and innovative prevention work by @london-vru.bsky.social

New figures show that the homicide rate in London is now the lowest in it's recorded history- with an 11% drop in the last year.

This is thanks to the hard work of so many across London & the leadership shown by Sadiq Khan in leading with a tough on crime and tough on the causes of crime.

But we're not complacent. One death will always be one too many. 
 
That's why I'll continue to do all I can to invest in the Met and in my Violence Reduction Unit to deliver positive opportunities for young Londoners - so we can build on this significant progress.
