DHS was founded in 2002. ICE in 2003.
The U.S. didn't need these agencies for the first 226 years of its existence, and it doesn't need them now.
It's a perverse form of manifest destiny. They are actively trying to make it come to fruition.
If Iran somehow manages to shut down trade through the Strait of Hormuz for a meaningful amount of time in retaliation, this will cause unimaginable suffering in many countries.
Iran's terrain along the strait is a mountain fortress that can easily hide many drones and missiles.

And if the death cult which holds the GOP gets their way, they can continue manifesting the Christian end of days, kill a major portion of the world's population in a third nuclear world war, and hide in their bunkers in the hopes that they can one day enslave the remainder of humanity.
The GCC would be cut off from water and food imports from the strait, causing water crises and famine in that region.
The implications are downright apocalyptic, which I guess matches our military leaders giving pep talks about Armageddon and the end of days to our soldiers.
An all-out war against Iran that leads to such an eventuality would be beyond catastrophic for the world economy. China gets 40% of their Oil through that strait, Japan gets 75% of their oil through there, India and many other nations would be cut off from that vital resource.
Iran's landscape along the Strait of Hormuz is a mountain fortress that would make it virtually impossible to prevent missile and drone attacks on shipping in the region.
Closure of the Strait would cease Oil trade vital to maintaining the strength of the Petro-dollar & collapse the U.S. economy.
Especially when he is willing to commit murder to stay in power.

Kristi has blood on her hands. Being fired is not remotely adequate punishment for her murderous dereliction of duty.
There must be criminal charges and proceedings into her actions during her tenure at DHS.
