Based on what I found, I do not recommend using any of those apps to replace your Steam authentication needs.
If you still wish to go ahead and you're using Apple devices, I recommend Strongbox (or Strongbox Zero, which removes any cloud storage options if you want to be 100% sure you're local).
I'm seeing reports that KeePassXC might support Steam 2FA, although they tried to remove it in 2023 because it doesn't support everything that Steam 2FA is used for (you will run into issues). KeePassXC is free and open source.

Two apps I know can generate Steam 2FA codes, if you extract the secret key from the official app:
Strongbox
KeePassium
Both use the KeePass storage format, but Strongbox is easier to use and far better integrated into the Apple ecosystem. Both have free versions with subscription/lifetime upgrades

Yes. But not officially supported. Might affect you if you need account support. Requires you to extract the secret key and put it into something that supports the format then hope it doesn't break.
I actually returned to BlueSky when I remembered that you would be running the giveaway here too. I'm a programmer mostly, but I also need to make simple art, as placeholders, concepts, or sometimes final art, and I refuse to resort to GenAI!
