The reality is: those of us on the academic side who have been saying that this is a fascist secret police engaged in ethnic cleansing operating unaccountable death camps for the last 5 to 6 months have been right and everyone trying to downplay that have either been doing so in bad faith or lying.

Portland’s ICE facility is in a residential neighborhood. I couldn’t imagine living there right now
And ICE shot out the windows of apartments nearby. They used this munition to do it. They also shot people with this.
Just experienced the most intense tear gassing of my life by federal officers outside the ICE facility in Portland where marchers gathered. There was no fast exit as they indiscriminately threw loads of gas and flash bangs. Children were in the crowd screaming. @oregoncapitalchronicle.com
