#hobbystreak day 25: On to the Blackjack. Was not on my 'A' game, painting-wise so lots of touch ups to do tomorrow.
#hobbystreak day 25: On to the Blackjack. Was not on my 'A' game, painting-wise so lots of touch ups to do tomorrow.
Action Figure Pic(s) of the Day: On to Morphed Leonardo. Much like the other turtles, he looks pretty good. Solid accessories. Swords a little short, but not a big deal. Really glad I picked these up!
#hobbystreak day 24: More work on the Cataprhact in the alternate scheme. Still some work to go, but I dig it. Love thoughts on it.
Action Figure Pic(s) of the Day: More TMNTxPower Rangers...this time Donatello. He's the Black Ranger, rather than his Purple...which is odd, but I understand. He also has a halberd rather than a bo staff. He's good, but has my only real complaint so far. He cannot hold his blaster.
#hobbystreak day 22: Tried the tan on the Cataphract. I think it works. We'll see how I feel when I get closer to done, but i'll at least finish this group like this. Also primed another test model, just in case I need/want to try something else.
Action Figure Pic(s) of the Day: The other half of the Foot Soldier Tommy set, Morphed Raphael! Much like the rest of this line, it's a surprisingly good figure. Extra head, hands, and even an effect bit. I'm not a huge fan of the head, but still a good figure.
#HobbyStreak day 22: Some testing of alternate colors since the one didn't work out. It's ok with Agrax wash, but still a bit bright. The tan looks better than the brown, but I need to not drybrush it too bright. Also gonna look for a good dark green for a better base, to make touch-ups easier.
Action Figure Pic(s) of the Day: Foot Soldier Tommy from the Power Rangers x TMNT line a couple years ago. Pretty good figure. Extra hands, head, some effects, and other little bits. Pretty impressed with this one!
Action Figure Pic(s) of the Day: More with Morphed Shredder. I do dig the claw effects and not sure how i'd use them. You can make them appear to be an energy trail after a strike, or an actual energy claw.
#hobbystreak day 20: Well...did some work on the Jagermech. Then looked at my old test model. Turns out the new formula for 'Mouldy Ochre' is not the same. Like same neighborhood...but a couple doors down. So, now I have to back up and punt.
Action Figure Pic(s) of the Day: Morphed Shredder from the TMNT x Power Rangers line. This is a suprisingly good figure. Solid articulation, cool idea, extra hands, effects for the claws, and a cloth cape.
#hobbystreak day 20: Put the metal base on the Black Knight. Plus some other small bits, mostly on the Blackjack!
Action Figure Pic(s) of the Day: Shaggy or Akuma...who did it better?
#hobbystreak day 19: More touch-ups on the Cataprhact then started touch-ups on the Black Knight.
Action Figure Pic of the Day: Just some simple trying out other figures accessories for Chatsworth. Looks like he can hold Thane's hammer pretty well!
#hobbystreak day 18: A little work on the Blackjack(not pictured), then on to the Cataphract. Mostly just metal and cockpit done. I'll touch up brown and green next.
I got him late, so missed the red shirt. Much like my Mezco one is the reissue.
Action Figure Pic of the Day: Here's a quick compare of Mezco Casey Jones and NECA Mirage Casey Jones. I like both, they're both good versions of the character. I do need to get a proper movie version.
#hobbystreak day 17: Touch-ups, metal, and cockpit work on the Blackjack. Decided to get all 4 mechs to the same spot, then move on to the next mech. Repeat.
Action Figure Pic(s) of the Day: Here's the Turtle shelf! I have the movie Turtles on another shelf and both Casey Jones' are elswhere, but this is most of them.
#hobbystreak day 16: Odd one today. In messing with some figures (and storage) I found these weapons from the TNMN Mutant Mayhem figures. Decided to get them all off the sprue and clean them up. Only question left, do I paint them?
All but Snarf are doable...
Action Figure Pic(s) of the Day: Gordo the Barbarian. "Hey, someone gave me a sword. That can't be a great idea."
#hobbystreak day 15: Turns out the handle for the Atlantean sword was detailed about right. So I drybrushed, washed, and sealed that...now the sword is ready for my barbarian.
Also some small basecoat touch-ups on the Jagermech.
#hobbystreak day 14: Almost done the Atlantean sword. Just need to decide if I want to freehand detail on the handle. Then some more base color touch-ups and cockpit on the Jagermech.
Action Figure Pic(s) of the Day: Akuma from Jada Toys. Kinda stiff joints, but that'll work out. Otherwise only one improvement over Ken and Ryu...toe joint!
It is. I don't know why, but I like it better than the other one.
Action Figure Pic(s) of the Day: Doric in Owlbear form. This is just a repaint of the other Owlbear with a new head. But I love how different it looks just with that. Very cool and chonky.
#hobbystreak day 13: Atlantean sword sealed, ready to work on the handle. Then back to my lance. Working on one at a time now. Starting with the Jagermech for a simple reason...since I didn't end up using it. If I don't finish it now, it'll go into storage for a long time.
It's kinda cool...but the multiple people playing at once is what really made that game shine.
