This story took many months to report and I’m really satisfied with the results. Too often it seems like we categorize these kinds of programs as full success stories or full failures - the truth usually falls somewhere in between.

One issue in our first contract negotiation is compensation. OPB hasn't given us a proposal that addresses our concerns. Many of us struggle to make ends meet. Our current pay doesn't help alleviate the challenges we face. In the coming weeks, we’ll share more about the struggle our creators face.

No Sexy Vampires: Portland author Keith Rosson talks about his new book ‘Coffin Moon’ Fans of scary stories can dig their teeth into “Coffin Moon,” a book set in Portland right after the Vietnam War and full of surprising twists on the vampire genre.

Catch me naming my nonexistent band’s next album “miasma of wretchedness.” This conversation with Portland author @keithrosson.bsky.social was as fun as the book “Coffin Moon” was frightening. opb.org/article/2025...

How the Pacific Northwest is leading a radicchio renaissance Grown from late-November to early March, radicchio is touted by many Northwest growers as the poster child for eating local produce in the winter. And it comes in stunning colors and varieties. "It's very beautiful," radicchio evangelist Lane Selman says, "and just pops in this winter time when things can be more dull."

People don’t give much thought to the purple leaves in their salad mix, but maybe they should. That bitter, leafy vegetable is likely radicchio, and it's kinda having a moment.
