The Fraudulent Business Filing reporting program protects Colorado Businesses from Fraud. This resource protects Colorado businesses and individuals by allowing them to report when a bad actor has formed a new business fraudulently using someone else's personal information or has taken over a legitimate business filling. Since 2023, more than five thousand, two hundred business fraud complaints have been resolved.

In 2023, our office launched the Fraudulent Business Filings reporting program, allowing individuals to file complaints about fraudulent businesses. To date, more than 5,200 reports have been investigated and resolved. We are committed to ensuring Colorado remains a great place to run a business!

The Eliza Pickrell Routt Award - named in honor of Colorado's first First Lady and her commitment to women's suffrage. Routt was the first woman registered to vote in Colorado. She helped Colorado become the second state to allow women to vote.
