2021 Spring Laos Green from One River Tea. This was a green tea when I got it, now the leaves have faded to brown. A bit like aged raw Liu Bao, farmer tea. Sweet, with a touch of smoke.

If you want a tea that shows you exactly what old tree character in hongcha is like, this is it. The mouth and body feel are stellar and highly characteristic.

Cinnamon, anise, nutmeg. Dates, apricot. Old wood and cedar.

Two new cakes right off the press. I’ve always loved these photos, feels good to use scenes from the mountain to wrap teas from the mountain.
