I think they are too careless to double-check for civilian harm. I mean, in the US children’s lives aren’t really valued (more than 4,400 children and teens are shot and killed annually) so why would they let this inconvenience them during war?

I grew up in NM so enchiladas were also a staple in our house. I can’t remember (nor can my parents) exactly when I started eating spice, but probably pretty early. Both our kids will try it but haven’t caught on yet that chile is gold.

Not sure. One of my kids eats pretty much everything (and always has). The other has been super picky from the start. We used the same weaning approach. We’ve always served them what we’re eating (i.e. adult food), so I think there is a personality/psychology aspect to it.
