Wow.
Failing to check the weather forecast ahead of their outdoor promotional event, then declaring themselves heroes for having to run out with an umbrella when it rains, seems symbolic of this government.
I mean Xmas programming could be considered propaganda too β¦
Trans rights are not the rights of a tiny minority, trans rights are everyoneβs rights to self-determination, control of our bodies, and a society where opportunity and aesthetics are not restricted by sex assigned at birth
You should support and defend trans people because trans people are people
I hope she sues
There has never been a βpublic-private partnershipβ that provided a higher quality service or cost less money than the public just doing the job in-house.
PPPβs exist to transfer more public, taxpayer money to private entities. Itβs welfare for the immortal, immoral, unaccountable corps.
I may be a dropkick but surely $300 million of tax buys quite a lot of hospital. www.rnz.co.nz/news/in-dept...
Hopefully the NZ govt will now backtrack on deeply unfair & undemocratic plans to change electoral processes - plans which threaten to erode trust in govt & elections. The National govt needs more experienced MPs to help it regain the middle ground it is losing #nzpol newsroom.co.nz/2025/07/28/a...
Working on it
There are storerooms full of decorations so def things get recycled. The βXmas decoration competitionβ among hospital depts gets pretty heated, though given the other pressures on our time, also a silly distraction. Staff stay late / come in on off days to work on elaborate themed installations.
Probably staff too busy to fully pack up Xmas.
Why? Heβs been dealing reckons, surely he should be able to take some back. People are being sly, not mean. Nothing even approaching the descriptions Joel has been dropping.
Real leadership for women isnβt about suddenly claiming the mic when it suits you. Itβs about who you stood alongside when it was hard, who you made room for when you had power, and whether you used your influence when it counted, and not just when you want to hoard power.
THIS. I know this is a really uncomfortable conversation to have, but righteously reading Ray Chung for filth should never obscure that so many of those frantically distancing themselves are only doing so because he couldn't spin his way out of a tumble dryer. #nzpol
#NZPol Australia ahead of us on the curve nact want to take is down. How about we simply donβt make this stupid mistake in the first place?

Feeling safe is a rare feelingβ¦sparse or nonexistent resources make everyone feel like theyβre stretched thin, knowing that errors leading to patient harm are more likely. But thereβs also a real fear that just speaking out will draw a large target on their back.
Similar to asbestos or unexploded munitions, the fallout of the LLM era will persist long after the apps are abandoned, because their outputs have been snuck into the corpus by copy-pasting fools.
The longer chatbots force themselves into every workflow, the longer it will take to decontaminate.

Thatβs a pretty big call with Seddon, Muldoon, Key etc etc
Probably doesnβt help that female journalists βjokeβ about it too.
I know someone in Εtaki.
Voila.
So cuts for real people, tax breaks for business, all paid for by stealing from women. Oh, and deliberately conflict the government in its role as regulator for the fossil industry. What a crock of shit. www.rnz.co.nz/news/politic...

My latest North and South column is live! I talk about why feeding children at school makes sense, health and education wise. I also invoke the word 'fiscal' twice in honour of Budget Day tomorrow - let's hope there are some nice, not nasty surprises in there.

You just traveled to the Middle East, Donald. They let you go, no issues.
I love it so much I now want the T-shirt.
Itβs a very special kind of anxiety to have, this kind of weird mix of compassion/ competitiveness/ worry when you are all at a signing table after a panel together. Someone should make up a word for it !!
