One of my favorite works of art ever is the original Drakengard, which is maybe a 6 as a video game if you’re factoring in the repetitious and fairly shallow gameplay. It also felt like a landmark experience in my life.

I don’t go to the movies very often, probably only have a total of maybe about 20 times in my life, so I guess my only one is that I was apparently one of the few who went to see Grindhouse.

I’ll say for my part I don’t understand at all why anybody thinks it was even bad, let alone exceptionally egregious. I did not have any of these thoughts or feelings when I got to the end.

I get recommended members only videos for channels I hardly watch all the time. I think the ones I do watch a lot don’t have member’s only stuff, so that’s all YouTube can try to push to me, but it only annoys me by getting the same videos I can’t even actually watch recommended all the time.

Yeah, people should really not hand it to conspiracists, particularly the QAnon ones. They are in fact 1) wrong about nearly everything, 2) frequently delusional, possibly clinically so, and 3) shouldn’t be validated, especially by people outside their group, which should be easy because of point 1!

They shouldn’t have time to spend watching racist dog whistle videos, they should all be too busy working overtime in order to pay for a $2,000 power cable for their amplifier because they believe it will improve instrument separation and three-dimensionality and promise it was worth the price.

Yeah, and add the sevenths for all those chords and B7 for when you’re in E and you’re up to like 97%. Learn sus chords for those and you’re at 98%. Learn barre chords to fill in all the rest of the letter gaps and you’re probably over 99%.

I always tell people who want to play guitar if you learn how to play A, C, D, E, F, and G major and A, B, D, and E minor you can play like 95% of non-classical and non-jazz music.

They all project what they want to see onto him so that people from dumb rednecks (I’m allowed to say this as a rural Ohioan) to the more intellectual Stephen Miller types, think he’s basically just like they themselves are and trust him to do what they would think is best if they were in his place.

My experience with his supporters, both casual and diehard, is that they really don’t understand that he is unfit and actually think he is hypercompetent. While what you’re saying would make sense, I bet very few of them truly think that because they’re too blinded by their biases to accept it.

It is on the surface a very gross and absurd thing to do, and she has to know that. So I wonder if maybe she did it because of how gross it makes him look too, knowing that he would accept it from her even as he warmongers, in hopes a few more people see that. Otherwise it is just gross and absurd.

Yeah, lots of people splitting the one hair. I’m sure every one of them is always unambiguously precise with their wording at all times such that they never say anything that could be misconstrued as having the opposite spirit of the entire rest of everything else you’ve said.

Yeah, I said the same thing about Amazon laying off warehouse workers and saying it was AI. I’ve worked a warehouse job. In what conceivable way is AI right now possibly doing the work of manually picking up products and putting a shipping label on them to be loaded into trucks? It’s all just PR.

Also, even though they themselves are closer to poverty than to wealth, they very often hate people on government assistance and see it as a personal and moral failing. People like that have a different philosophy overall about society that means very few will ever adopt a class solidarity mindset.

I work a blue collar job in ruralish Ohio and I can attest that I politically and philosophically have little in common with many of my coworkers. I think the class struggle lens warps perception of the reality because you have to ignore a lot of very pertinent things to them, like sometimes racism.

I haven’t been keeping up with game music. I remember when Atsuko Asahi was one of the new composers at Nintendo and now she’s the only name I recognize of the four composers for World.

I’m gonna get an E-mu Xtreme Lead-1 like him. There was just one on Reverb for $350 but someone bought it the day before I was going to and now the others available are about $100 more. Will probably bite the bullet anyway.

I’m glad you established your American bona fides, but you still mentioned tea which a real American does once every two to five years, so I’ll be observing you with suspicion.

The first time I watched it when my dad showed it to me when I was like 14, Van Morrison was my least favorite part. After a few watches I warmed up to the song and his performance. I don’t know much more of his stuff now than I did then, but I think it’s pretty great now.

Like I said, I hope you write your piece and maybe someday down the road someplace will pay you for it.
