Opinion | The truth about bike lanes: They’re not about the bikes D.C. is building miles of bike lanes, though fewer people are biking to work. The goal is to slow traffic and annoy people out of their cars.

Bike lanes have never been about bikes. They're about people, and giving everyone a choice to be healthier, and to be part of a future that doesn't sanctify cars and the greedy energy and car companies that benefit from their over use.
