It’s true. I can’t blame people for wanting to share the great feeling they had, no one usually considers that you’re stopping someone from giving it an honest shot with no expectations. I’ve done it myself.
I think it hurts games more than it helps when people recommend one for its profound story, rather than just saying it's a fun game. I rarely hear people praise Disco Elysium for gameplay, and a lot of people who might love it are easily turned away when the expectation is just: POLITICS STORY!
