Well, Frankenstein lurching. About 7 feet at a time. Held up on parallel bars and by a tiny Ukrainian lady. It might be a while before I can do it on my own, but at least there's proof I'll be able to.

Signed the lease on my new apartment today. It's all mine once I finish this latest short stint in another nursing home.
I just want to say thank you to anyone who helped. Be it financially, in words, or just in vibes.
Toughest fucking year and I'm fighting the entire way (with so much help).
One good thing about this whole situation: because my job's fiscal year starts in July I'm 100% meeting my insurance deductible literally two days into the "year".
The horror stories of my family could fill books.
This is not out of character, unfortunately. I just made the choice of trusting they would actually help when I shouldn't have.
Even more fun. My parents took me to their house temporarily, realized I need more help than they could do, so I'm now stuck in a hospital in South Carolina homeless because I can't go back.

I'm not qualifying for anywhere else with insurance as I'm 31, not permanently disabled, and still work full-time. Which means I'm trying to cover all the basic moving expenses plus some accessibility aids my insurance isn't covering.
Any help goes a long way to keep me from taking on more debt.
So fun times. My insurance has ended coverage for my inpatient physical therapy, and I'm now having to scramble for accessible housing while my body is still recovering.
I'm pretty allergic to asking for help, but my savings are pretty much gone after the last like six months of medical issues.
Give it up for last-minute surgery number two. woo.
At this point, I'm going to ask the hospital for a punch card.
