Since I stopped following Catholic Twitter I forgot how pompous these people can sound.

Of course he wouldn’t go after any of the billion dollar corporations contributing to the problem—Coca Cola, McDonald’s, Frito Lay—but a perfectly wholesome dessert that even people who eat carrot cake have maybe twice a year. They have no idea how real people live.

After Mass yesterday I walked in a procession behind Our Lady of Mt. Carmel and several exuberantly waving Italian flags while praying the Rosary. Someone try and tell me I was “desecrating” American soil.
