A Public Works vehicle dumps snow into the bed of a large truck on a recently plowed road.

As of this morning, Boston's @streets.boston.gov teams have hauled 2,594 loadsβ€”or 43,666 cubic yardsβ€”of snow off of Boston's streets to snow farms.

We're expecting nearly 300 pieces of equipment on the roads tonight to continue the work. ❄️

The snow & wind aren’t stopping anytime soon, and neither are we. Crews will be deployed throughout the storm (and after) to keep streets clear. You can help by: staying off the roads, shoveling your property & checking on neighbors. Let’s get through this together, Boston! ❄️ 🚜

As our PWD crews & contractors prepare for the blizzard, the best way you can help is by staying off the roads. Keeping streets clear allows us to treat & plow from curb-to-curb, which is essential for safety, accessibility & emergency response. We appreciate your help! ❄️ ⛄️
