Today I'm making Turkish Delight. I'm making a coconut one to celebrate @lynnstrong.bsky.social 's upcoming #cozyfantasy Chai and Charmcraft. So far it seems to be working, but I'm crossing my fingers as it cools. I don't know if I got the consistency right, but it at least tastes good!

To get cozy this winter I started knitting some new scarves. I've discovered I really like playing the original #IronChef seasons from Japan in the background while I knit. Now it's becoming a comfort show, a twist in my life I never saw coming. I'm a big Chairman Kaga fan girl.

I just finished my ARC of The Inn at the Foot of Mount Vengeance by Chiara Bullen and it was delightful. A scholar stays at an inn determined to record its history and the adventurers who climb the mountain. You'll like it if you enjoyed The Spellshop series.

I put together a recipe for Betta's Longberry Rolls from The Driftcap Inn and added it to my blog. These cinnamon date rolls are a favorite of mine and perfect for a snack on the inn promenade. I even included how to make them gluten free like mine.

This week I started reading an ARC of Thistlemarsh by Moorea Corrigan and so far I'm loving the blend of historical fantasy with fae magic. It's a book to keep an eye out for come April 21.

The holidays are my favorite time of year, but also sometimes the saddest. I'm always grateful to celebrate with those I love, but it's also hard to ignore the empty spaces left by those who have passed on. My heart is with everyone missing someone this holiday season.

Been reading a lot of #cozyfantasy #witchybooks about inheriting a cottage/inn/other business and a common theme is the dead relative coming to visit during Samhain. Easy to see why because who wanted want to see someone they miss? I tear up thinking about my dad every time.
