Never forget that billionaires spend billions to convince you that voting doesn't matter. Don't help them. Voting isn't the ONLY thing we can do, but it is the most powerful check on the executive. "Don't bother voting because there'll be no free elections" is oligarch propaganda.

My 95 yr old mom is in a long term care facility in a small town in Northwest Ontario. She is happy. The care is good, she enjoys the meals, many activities are provided, she enjoys the many singers and bands that come in from the community to entertain the residents. Kudos to the staff and all!

My stack of #books to be #read is growing. I rec’d a number of new ones for Christmas. I just finished Louise Penny’s “The Black Wolf” and am now reading John Grishams “Widow”. In 2026 I plan to read more and #walk and #swim more, less scrolling and news.
