An image of 9 games selected to represent the most influencial titles in my life of playing games. Dragon Age, Warcraft, Final Fantasy, Civilization, Might & Magic, Master of Orion, Dungeons & Dragons, Baldur's Gate, and Ultima Online. Further Info on each: Dragon Age Inquistion was technically the first I played, but I only played the demo of it, then went back to play Origins and 2 before actually diving into it. This is a series I still love going back to play cause it's storytelling at its finest, with possibly some of the most natural interactions for people who'd live in such a world to have. Warcraft filled a huge part of my life. First the RTS games, then being invited to the Beta of the MMO. I played WoW for over 15yrs before taking the break I am currently on from it. It always will hold a special place in my heart, even if I find the current leaders to be questionable. Final Fantasy VIII was my own introduction to the series, and one I feel truly deserves a Remake. I've enjoyed many of the other games in the series, and FFXIV is my current MMO choice. Civilization is a series my father and I played countless hours of. (And recently was the issue with our Steam Accounts being oddly connected, as I let him play the games I owned through the family sharing) Might & Magic (They only had images for VI and VII, but 1 was first), on the flipside, is the series my mother and I played EVERY game in. Our love of fantasy had us helping each other solve the puzzles and problems in each of our playthroughs together. Master of Orion is a series that my 'godfather' introduced me to. I miss him dearly some days. D&D is a series that I was raised on. Almost literally. I fell asleep on weekends as a baby to the sounds of my parents and friends playing the TTRPG. Baldur's Gate is included because it's the best representation of how D&D has changed over the ages. Each installment being a new version. Ultima Online was my first MMO. Think that basically sums that up
Here is my9games.com list
I chose to include the games (by first in the series I played, with one exception as they didn't have the first in the list to pick) that have meant the most to me over the years.
Alt text explains further, as we don't have a lot of characters here.π«
Yeah, the last zone hit myself and some friends extremely hard too cause of our own iRL losses.β€οΈ
The fact that my character considers themselves a Protector definitely hurt. Cause like others around me iRL, I could only just be there for them. Can't protect from what's happened already.π₯²

So, I guess if I had to pinpoint what Vulnerability is to me; it's having people I can be open to, who accept and just are -there- when I need them to be that grounding presence.
And I do the same for them, so they can also have that freedom to be open.
We've already felt whatever we're gonna feel about that situation. Sometimes the feelings linger, and that's why we're asking for acceptance that we may have moments where that trauma haunts us again.
And the best thing anyone can do at that moment is just be a presence to ground us.
This is probably the big part of it.
To those of us who've suffered, it's just... facts.
But to others, it's like various hurdles they've suddenly found in their path they need to get over/under/around to continue walking. And most don't realize we're not asking them to understand them, just accept.
Ah, but see. This is how we know the Shoebill is not a real one. >.> Darn ol' man thinking he can pull one over on us. /fistshake
Caring
Attentive
One thing that was suggested to me by a therapist I spoke with is to remind people to say "I". To personalize it.
"I think it'd be cool if you joined."
"I want you there."
"I would like to see you here."
etc...
The friends who've started doing that have helped me a ton in feeling more welcome.π₯°
I'd be ok with it from time to time, since it does sound more like "I want you here" rather than most open ended invites that sound like "I guess I should invite you too."
But, will admit there could be moments my brain takes it as "It WOULD be cool if you joined, however..." π
RS w/Alt Text
But this is precisely what I have been trying to get through to people for so long. "Open" or Neutral invitations just make me feel like I'm not wanted.
"You're always welcome to join us when you want" is not the same feeling as "I'd like you to join us when you can."
So now I'm worried I'm about to see overdrafts showing up on my account in the next couple days as it tries to come out multiple times.
"Why don't you have OD protection?"
Cause a credit card I had OVER 10YRS AGO has fucked me over.
I really can't afford even one overdraft atm.π
(They're $45 each!)
This month is not starting off well.
Come into it with this damn flu I'm fighting.
Social Assistance somehow forgot to pay me. Said it'd be in today... it's not.π£
Tried to ask my rental group to wait, they did their typical "LOL. NO.π" move of pending the payment directly on the 1st in response.
Well, think it's safe to say that after years of avoiding it, I finally caught a flu.
I'll be more active again after my body stops trying to roast me alive with this fever.π
But also, welcome to everyone new to my insanity. Imma go back to enjoying my fan like it's my long lost lover. π«
Hey.
Tell people when they do good job.
When you like the stuff they make.
When you like the characters theyβve created.
The stories theyβve told.
Nobody hears it as often as you think bc everyone thinks everyone hears it all the time.
Trust. They donβt.
Tell. Them.
One thing to appreciate about my location in Canada is how we have an online doctor service for those of us without a GP.
However...
I now have three prescriptions to get to help get rid of a viral infection in my lungs, apparently.π«
Whee... Hope I have enough to afford them.π£
Can I please be back to my normal 'healthy' again?π«
Where all I have to deal with is the constant pain, arm twitches, leg occassionally giving out, and head spinning nearly every hour of the day.π
I hate the coughing, sore throat and headache from colds.π£

A screenshot of my FFXIV character in Summoner Job, with his Ruby Carbuncle on his shoulders recieving chin scritches. While Fat Cat bats at an apple behind them.
I prefer to give Carby chin scritches. Much easier to do when they are sitting on my shoulders. :3
added teamspeak integration to the veadotube code base today and whenever those new discord alternatives get a proper sdk they'll get added too. that's how we're rolling now
Totally fair, and I feel that.π«
I'm not the best at replying to things often. Which is why I tend to like things or share things that align with my thoughts or feelings.π€
I like having ya around, and seeing ya around.π₯°
I sadly remember a time where it was actually good and easy to use. Then they got into making the Cash Shop their big thing, and stuff just went downhill.π«
Many of the Forums were gutted. Artist's Corner, as an example, used to have 10 main categories. So was far easier to find what you wanted.π
"What if someone doesn't like what I made?"
Ok but what if someone likes it.
We all need at least one character to just let out everything in. It's both the freedom and curse of those of us whom like to make characters to live through. :3
A screenshot of my score from the colour matching website dialed (dot) gg. It reads, left to right from top to bottom: You ranked 442 out of 179,479. 48.68/50 Perfect score. Congratulations. You've peaked. It's all downhill from here. Then has buttons at the bottom to Challenge a friend to beat 48.7, or Play Again.
Due to a freak accident as a child, I see more colours than most. (I can see ultraviolets without tools)
So colour matching is pretty simple.π₯°π
And kinda sure I could do even better if I used my good monitor. Not my older one that I use for web browsing.π€
Can take the test here: dialed.gg
There's an amazing amount of freedom and pride in being able to give yourself your own treatments.β€οΈ
As someone afraid of needles, and doing the same, you got this. It may not get easier, but knowing the feeling you'll have after is ALWAYS worth it.π«
A big fat orange cat doodle holding a sign saying "I see you. I hear you." With a caption "Let's get through today together, you and me. -Katt" This is a sample doodle for an initiative I wish to start. The world sucks and people are generally awful, but if you see this, and you need a doodle by a human being to remind you that you are seen and you are not alone, message me. I will make you a little doodle with a kind message like this one. May it bring some light and warmth. I am not a professional though. If you need more support, please seek professional help and/or contact your local help hotline. I care about you. Your existence matters.
I see you. I hear you. Your efforts matter. You matter.
