Congress has seemed more than happy to give Trump the power of the purse through executive use of tariffs. At this point, it's a mystery what function Congress serves if it refuses to enact its own legitimacy, checks and balances.

Itβs hard to say Into Darkness is the worst Trek movie when there are other far shoddier films, boring in ways devoid of ambition, but itβs certainly the Trek film that most thinks Trek is lame and for nerdy losers.
She rates In the Pale Moonlight as a 9.5 out of 10. Past Tense still wins out for her. She loved the episode, but wanted Sisko to cross the line more to justify the big speech at the end.
We are at In The Pale Moonlignt. The last few episodes have been hard for my girlfriend to watch (given current events). I've been hyping up this episode since we've started so I hope the current political environment doesn't mar this episode as well.
It was Timothy's terrible experience, much to Timothy's dismay, that made Paul reconsider his position. (Probably)
can we all agree that it's pathetic when so-called "friends" try to sabotage your opportunities? you're clearly jealous that the amulet of eternal darkness chose me and no amount of "please fight it, i know you're still in there somewhere" is going to change that. crab bucket mentality. grow up.
Also I'm curious what the set of "many jobs" is. Seems like a lot of jobs that could be handled by LLMs will just not exist in the future and the people with advanced degrees will take all the relevant jobs left over. The uneducated lose again.
Everyone seems to be able to spot the limitations of LLMs when it's their field, but marvel at it's prowess when it's something they are uneducated in. Handing jobs to uneducated people to use faulty LLMs is a recipe for disaster.
As much as it is annoying (there's a lot of Agnostic Athesit(tm) vibes on here) I still prefer this kind of in-group signaling over the outright Nazi propaganda that got shoved on my FYP on X before I quit.
That's true, I'm more speaking to the people who give chapter reviews. Wano was my breaking point with the community (with ZKK and 5 acts/raid failing being the most egregious examples).
I found this helped with my enjoyment of One Piece immensely. The week to week experience plugged into the online community vs reading it alone are vastly different, and the latter is better.
Writing-wise, most ridiculous moment of decade was as writer-guest for a workshop held at someone's house. During the workshop, I got a massive headache & asked for aspirin. Someone gave me aspirin after which I began to itch. "Sorry--gave u my anti-itching pills by mistake." 1/?
I'm safe
It is the joy of every man who is into tech slowly turning your girlfriend into a gamer. I don't know if I'll get to play my ps5 again.
Seems frankly rude and bitter to hold the Hegseth vote without an open bar
this is a 40k character monologue
If LLMs are conscious, they are like an imbecile gifted with eternal life who through sheer willpower managed to memorize most of the things smart people say.
No human of even low intelligence needs a billion training hours to get a multiplication series right only 50% of the time.
Yes
Dr K's guide is a great resource for meditation. Just got done with the first practice (Nadi Shuddhi), and it works remarkably well for calming the mind.
I've been paying for a Shonen jump subscription way back when it was $25 a year. Piracy for Shonen Jump titles never made sense to me on an ethical level. Even if you like the quality of the images and translation of the scans, just pay the small fee to support the creators and read the scans anyway

Would look very different and more competitive. You can even see how theism should be blown to oblivion by the way the LT section of his bar also disappears into nothingness when it's a generic, non feature rich version.
Reflecting on this video more, it bugs me how the priors were established. He makes an extremely feature rich version of PBT with many assumptions fight against the totality of Atheist theories regardless of their assumptions. If we pitched a feature rich version of atheism against his PBT the bar

Would love to hear your thoughts on this video, I feel like I'm going mad watching it.
How does Cameron justify the likelihood of evidence for each hypothesis? It's vague, "This seems right to me!" Well of course you can make any position seem "silly" if you assign priors and likelihoods in (convenient) ways.

I DNF'd Crime and Punishmebt for now. I couldn't get into it, hopefully returning to it later this year will make the process of reading it easier.
"worst deal of the rest of your lifetime" didn't pan out in the a/b testing
I had to do both parts of the elephant section in It Takes Two. My girlfriend couldn't bring herself to do it.
My reading challenge begins with Crime and Punishment. Starting up a substack later this week to discuss each book with an emphasis on prose.
