Looks a bit silly but experimenting with an armature deforming the bulge (weird parenting, so it sticks out the back out the snake atm but can always use constraints on something else).

I finally finished my DIY AC cooling box and the temperature definitely lowered. I haven't tested rendering yet but it should work. I injured my back trying to lift it so I was out of commission for a day or two.
