Happy #PokemonDay ! I can finally show off the illustration I did for the Pokejinka zine published by @dotzines.bsky.social where I depicted the Painter Pokemon Smeargle as a fun and fashionable hipster artist leaving his mark on public property!
The pokeposting continues...a human version of good ol' Skarmory! Skarmory is a fun mon to draw. I like its doofy beak, the head is nicely shaped. This was a neat experience and i'm glad to have done it!

If you don't like only-digital zines you can try to make a small zine to start (by searching for people to help you) and pick smaller artists yourself.
As they say: be the change you want to see in the world.

There are plenty of free-for-all or only-digital zines that don't take into account big names AT ALL. You should try with those and see how it goes for a change of pace.
We all agree that rejection sucks. And it is a problem when the most popular fandoms just pick a few big artists for all zine but you have to take into account that printed zines must have a return in terms of money since production is part of the process (and it's not cheap).
i did espeon! had a lot of fun with this zine and loved being a part of it!
