I’ve heard from riders of the 47 Lansdowne bus that there have been some significant delays along the route, so I’ve been working with the TTC to make some adjustments to make the ride much smoother.
Service is expected to improve by the end of this month.

It was initially part of Metrolinx’s Davenport Diamond Greenway project, but City had to step in to make it happen. This will connect residents to local parks, schools, businesses – and to each other.

Toronto is making progress bringing people indoors and building new affordable housing — but we can’t do it alone. My op-ed with Councillor Gord Perks is in today’s Toronto Star.

Teal background graphic with white text. The statement reads: “Yesterday evening I joined my Jewish neighbours at a beautiful lighting of Hanukkah candles and vigil for the victims of the horrific Bondi Beach massacre in Australia. Tonight, I will do the same at another community vigil on a neighbourhood street in Davenport. During this Jewish festival celebrating light coming out of darkness, I want to acknowledge and stand with Davenport residents expressing our solidarity and love, and recommitment to fighting antisemitism and hate.” The message is signed “Councillor Alejandra Bravo.”

It was great to join Mayor Olivia Chow to announce fare capping in 2026. After 47 rides, the rest of the month is free! This win for transit riders reflects years of community advocacy for a fairer system. I will continue to support and work to lower the cap so that transit remains accessible.

Graphic announcing new traffic calming measures approved by the Toronto & East York Community Council on November 27, 2025. Listed streets include Via Italia, Bloem Avenue, Boon Avenue, Eversfield Road, Hatherley Road, Morrison Avenue, Peterborough Avenue, Sellers Avenue, Gladstone Avenue, and Salem Avenue. The graphic is teal with white text and includes the name Alejandra Bravo and a website URL.
At the November Toronto and East York Community Council meeting, I introduced resident-supported motions for new traffic-calming on Davenport streets. These measures will help slow drivers and improve safety, especially after the Province removed Ontario’s speed cameras.
