This was incredibly hard to whittle down, but I went with games that were very important to me from a young age, or games that I played at a pivotal time in my life
New Uketsu novel is very entertaining so far, takes a lot of the stuff I loved in Strange Houses and expands on it. I love a story with a house that's a little bit messed up.

This is all to say, I've been listening to a lot of What Went Wrong and it's fantastic. Well produced, well researched podcast about how hard it is to make a good movie, and how tumultuous a lot of BTS stuff is. Their episode on Aliens and Evil Dead are particularly great.
When did podcasts become so unlistenable with ads? I remember deciding to listen to old episodes of Nightvale a few years ago and there was an ad break every 10 minutes. Now it feels like every podcast I try to listen to has an obscene amount of ad breaks. Not sponsorships either, just radio ads
Looking at the Scream 7 reviews and going back and forth between sadness about how far this franchise has fallen, and schadenfreude about how much they fucked it up with their decision to remove Melissa Barrera.
Perfect example of "3.5 stars and a heart."
I was hooting and hollering watching this movie, it's so fun, but I'm not going to pretend that it's better than a lot of other Carpenter movies.
I decided to watch House (1977) because I thought it was a classic 70's horror film. Little did I know it was basically an RPG maker horror game mixed with a comedy. Utterly surreal experience.

I will refrain from posting details during the spoiler embargo but I will say my jaw dropped multiple times while playing. Huge huge huge props to @hakita.bsky.social and the whole team at New Blood, constantly pushing the envelope on this game and blowing everyone away.
Played Silent Hill f for the last week while I've been sick. More thoughts to come.

CV and RE0 both exist to make you look back at RE1-3 and think "I wasn't just exaggerating, those games are THAT good"
Spencer Mansion, RPD etc are just so tight and well designed and then you get to CV and it's like they forgot how to design a good map

Finally got around to playing Silent Hill F, hit the first ending and I'm flabbergasted. Ryukishi07 I trust the plan, now to see what the hell is happening in NG+
I'll probably end up writing something on this game because it's such a rollercoaster of things I love and things I absolutely despise

Gonna start moving chronologically now, starting with Blood Simple. Great debut, you can see a lot of Fargo's strong qualities in this one, even though it's way earlier.
I've never watched a Coen brothers movie before (Not even Lebowski, I know, don't shoot me), so I'm going to make my way through them this year. Started with Fargo and god damn what a film.

I've been playing Blue Prince for the last few days and I think this game might be dangerous for me...
I'm very susceptible to roguelikes and the "just one more run" mentality is hitting me hard
Anyways, still only in single digit days but I'm very excited to keep going
Watching my favourite movie franchise turn to dust in real time is so depressing. I was pleasantly surprised by 5 and 6, but between this and wrongfully removing Melissa Barrera, I think I'm happy to say that Scream is dead to me.
