If they're going to do that, then no doubt the heated element on the end of a stick would be equiped to commit arson

Oh no, so sorry to hear this

Surely one if these on the end of a handle would be enough
Have a graph on my other computer that shows that at the same income a US citizen lives 5 years less than a UK one, Denmark is similar to UK to get the same life expectancy as the average European, basically you have to have a family income after taxes and insurance in excess of $350,000
This 53 year old man who lived in my neighborhood w/no criminal record & who had been in the US for 30 years, was detained and thrown into a cold cell for days, caught pneumonia and COVID there and deported.
He finally died.
I am so angry.

Someone has sure already made this observation but the fact they can convert all those empty warehouses into prison camps means they could have converted them into housing, community centers, job training centers or, hell, libraries or schools all along. Itβs always a matter of will not resources.
I can see the future now.
"No Mr. Kaszeta, I expect you to die"
One lesson from the EpsteinβMandelson affair is that we need to stop routinely rehabilitating political careers after serious scandals.
When politicians knowingly engage in grave ethical wrongdoing, that should permanently end their political careers. Being "talented" should not override that.
worth noting that the second rich people stopped being afraid of mobs tearing them limb from limb, they stopped building libraries and opera houses and stuff and started ripping the copper wiring out of the walls of society instead
Minnesota Public Radio says today marks the first and only shooting and homicide in Minneapolis in the year 2026
I am tired of Earth. These people.
We had several more dead foxes whenever they had a hunt, but the police were spectacularly uninterested.
Amazingly we didn't have it worst from them, another group of friends had their dog, that never ever left the yard without its family, it was a frightened rescue, shot because "its been over in the hunts leaders farm worrying sheep" because they'd complained about the hunt crossing their land
However the reporter in the office came out and grabbed us, because he was expecting to interview a touring metal band, and he thought we were them. The hunt master was interviewed and said "Well you have to understand they are only hippies" cue outrage in the next letters page.
We sat for several nights with them not doing anything, then one night when we were out in town, we came back to find the outside of our house daubed with blood and a dead fox on our doorstep. We managed to get on the front page of the local paper, their receptionist wasted to turn us away
When I was living in West Wales. The local hunt used to ride past our house from their kennels to train their dogs. Those dogs would stray into our yard, and we asked politely for them to keep them out, to which they replied they'd "be back to deal with us"
Boris Johnson and Alexander Lebedev must be investigated; Reform's attack on the young; why whole-life imprisonment is rising in England and Wales; how archaeology helped the US colonise Panama; Lindsay Andersonβs If.... (1975); the World Conker Championships
i really think there is legit political space for running on "we are going to dismantle ICE"
I thought it was the CIA and they managed to get the rights from his widow through a studio by arranging for her to meet Clarke Gable. and also if I remember right one of the people running this CIA op went on to be one of the Watergate plumbers
I must finally get round to reading it, having bought it twice (the second time when it arrived in the post finding I'd already bought it as an Ebook)
Worthwhile thread. The Trump FTC decided to not pursue a blatant law violation.
I wanted Biden to have a 2nd term to keep Lina Khan on the job. (Harris might've replaced her as a sop to big business.)
My dad abhors any negative comments about immigrants. Asked him recently why heβs so strong on it: βBecause weβre always happy to take the rich and clever ones. Which means itβs not about disliking immigrants. Itβs about disliking the poor and vulnerable. And thatβs a bad human instinct.β
Smedley Butler is too little talked about, and in so.e ways would be an ideal role model for the current military leaders

especially on subjects you are qualified on and they aren't, if you don't have your own PhD flag to wave at them. (and even sometimes if you do)
Rule I live by from vast experience of academics.
Is it their subject? if not treat any claims with utter scepticism, because they will wave that PhD round like it's a flag of competence in any other subject they talk on.
Hereβs Judith Butler explaining what this movement is and always was, about five years ago.
This is the most alarming story Iβve read today. Giving up the fight before itβs started
