The only positive thing about the gas prices going bananas is that we are heading into summer. If this war had started in November, my heating costs would have been insane. That said, this whole thing is irresponsible.

This is just getting worse and worse. First he demands that he should be selecting the new leader of Iran, and now this. The USA is just fundamentally no longer part of the free world. The USA is now in the same category of countries like Russia.

I live alone, and I also just got my very first dishwasher last month. And I just learned that those two are related ;)
For me, this is extremely frustrating. My home (rented) is heated with gas, and last year, we were offered to switch to renewables instead. I voted 'yes' to switch to renewables (which was more expensive in the short term), but everyone else voted 'no' arguing that gas prices were 'going down'.

Why are there so many problems with the police in the USA compared to other countries? Well... here is a clue.
Education period to become a police officer:
USA: Between 12 to 21 weeks (in some places just six weeks)
Germany, Finland, Sweden, Norway: 3 years (156 weeks)
Netherlands: 2-4 years
