Happy Teacher Appreciation week! Deciding what coffee to get. I am loving this warmer weather.
I enjoyed my CD and cassette Walkman, reading, making coffee, eating, playing my clarinet, gazing at the moon, and catching the sunrise.
I went camping at Bonelli Bluffs to start my spring break. It was nice to sync up with the natural rhythm of nature. I felt that my body, mind, and spirit were purified through the practice of mindfulness, allowing me to be fully present in the moment.

I had a fantastic time with my clarinet comrades this weekend in CWO. Members of the group performed various chamber works in the first half. In the second half of the concert, we all performed, O rose of May (Collins), Homage to Machaut (Nelson), and Glorisoa (Ito). It was a great performance! π΅πΉπ
Reunited with an old clarinet friend from back in the day. She rocks. That is all. πΆπ§¬π¬πβοΈπ₯Ό
Played our winter concert tonight with CWO @ Ramo. We were in the waiting rooms and I decided to take pictures of my clarinet gear. I currently use a sumner mouthpiece, vintage selmer ligature, and pilgerstorfer reeds. #gearfun #clarinetgeek

It was a real treat for our 3rd grade students to watch musicians from the Long Beach Symphony perform various works. They absolutely loved it. Thank you to the musicians from LB Symphony! The kiddos were inspired. ππ΅π»
CWO & LA Symphonic Winds Concert @ Pepperdine University. Gorgeous campus, pretty ocean view, and great music. Good times all around. π
Honor Band and Orchestra concert was tonight. It was fabulous. Thank you to all the managers, teachers, and parents for making this possible. It takes a whole town/village to make a musician. Bravo to everyone involved! ππΌβ₯οΈπΆ
I attended NAMM 2025 for only one day, because I was fighting a very bad cold when the show started.
I got to reunite with my old grad school friend, Jimmy. We watched Jacob Collier and it was truly a beautiful experience.
I got to meet Jason Gay- the amazing saxophonist/musician based in Hawaii. β₯οΈ
One of my favorite teaching moments this past week was working with the MS Honor Band clarinet section. Their respective band directors did a wonderful job with them. They sounded great! We had a lot of clarinet fun!
