You are a full grown adult that can monitor and avoid content that goes against your boundaries. Creating these "micro wars" online allows people who seek to harm people a greater chance at accomplishing that. I've seen this happen countless times.

I refuse to partake in "chronically online drama" that consists of tattletailing and lack of confronting personal issues.

I'd suggest not relying on these lists in their entirety. I browsed out of safety reasons and found majority of them to be b/ots filtering words into lists. I value transparency and respect for boundaries here. I find value in humanity thriving in the best ways possible.

its true!! once was unable to work for a while whenever someone in my family had surgery, all of my clients were totally understandable. a lot of the people i hear experiences from say anything but silence is helpful xD which is understandable

example, ive seen detailed, high quality painted pieces for commissions and the artist will clarify their lengthy wait-times. regardless of the wait, they still have people grabbing at their work!! the transparency builds trust, i have clients who have returned to me for years now 🙏

Artists really need to work on being transparent, that's all I have to say. Seeing more and more clients say "I'm just not going to commission anyone anymore" ... Do you know what your irresponsibility is doing to the community?? LOCK IN!!

again, im not perfect but i try to keep my queue and activities posted in my discord server, update my trello/queue as i work .. i think the longest time a commission has taken was 3-5 months at most ..

BUT i also don't want to dismiss life unexpectances, emergencies, all that stuff. Things happen!

not that the idea of artwork taking a year to complete is a bad thing, but it is definitely something that needs to be clarified with your clients if you are looking to work as an artist.

not saying this like some sort of professional at being an artist, but what's up with hearing more and more clients waiting YEARS for a simple piece of work? .. i believe everyone has growing room and these artists who are not being transparent about their work routine needs to change.
