I'm losing my mind here. The arrogant cruelty and ignorance of the people in charge of our country is apparently bottomless. And when the bill—moral, psychological, political, economic—comes due, the vulnerable will pay, as ever.

That poor man who died of a tooth infection after being detained for weeks without care. Anyone who works in these detention centers should fear for their very soul.
