This industry doesn’t ever do enough to address the source of failures like Snow White. It is not simply because it’s a bad film, but because of blind faith and support for a genocidal, racist ethnic-state.
Call it what it is. Hollywood’s Zionism is its own demise, and these flops are proof.
In a few years, the public and the industry will look upon that speech with awe and respect, and responses like Jackson’s and Selma Gomez’ will be pegged as the racist, classless reactions they were.
The problem isn’t the speech being political, but that the politics of the speech went against social norms and the industry’s systemic racist value.
His comment reminds me of how audiences booed Sacheen Littlefeather’s speech in ‘73. She was on the right side of history - they were not.
