It's amazing how these people just lie about what was in the bill. It very clearly stated that providing shelter, financial support, or legal assistance to an undocumented person was a crime. No exceptions were listed. The "it doesn't apply" crap is not supported by the actual language.

By some miracle, the bill that sought to criminalize providing any assistance, including legal assistance, to undocumented persons in the state did not pass out of committee. I have no doubt another version will be back, but for now it's a win - and a big one.
