February 6, 2026 Stressed if you do... Stressed if you don't Stressed after working too hard. But not working stresses me out. Anxiety creeps up when I'm alone. It gets me when I'm out and about. I need a major change in my life. Life-changing events are stressful. But I need to make a quick decision. What if my option isn't successful? Don't talk to me, I'll freak out! Why aren't you talking to me? What did I do? Was it my fault? Leave me alone! Just let me be! I turn on the television to relax. There's unrest because of a storm. A maniac wants to run the world. Disinformation is now the norm. So, I turn to social media for fun. There are billionaires everywhere. Artificial intelligence is the trend but I prefer a natural one, to be fair. ©Tania Carina Pires

January 11, 2026 The Bliss of Books I opened you up before I was three. Never again would you let me free. I made friends with a fox and a hound. Peter Rabbit and I went running around. I had adventures with The Famous Five. Baloo taught me the necessities of life. I fell down the rabbit hole and met a cat. And I helped Matilda glue her father's hat. Later on, I found Adrian's secret diary. Sherlock Holmes made me very wary. I also visited worlds too far to mention. I travelled to sites in another dimension. The road to bliss is paved with books. All kept in their own crannies and nooks. Fiction, non-fiction, romance, fantasy, sci-fi, horror, fairy tales, and mystery. They make me laugh, they make me cry. Books will wreck you in the blink of an eye. But every time an old story says goodbye, I come back for more and that's not a lie. ©Tania Carina Pires
