Joint statement: Investing in adult social care for people and communities As organisations spanning the breadth of the adult social care and support sector, we stand ready to work with the Government, and on a cross-party basis, as equal partners, to bring about the longer-term changes that are needed to build a care and support system that enables everyone to live the life they want to lead.

We call on Rachel Reeves MP to strengthen adult social care and work with the sector to mitigate pressure on councils, providers and charities: https://orlo.uk/Xf9zF

A screenshot from a Telegraph article titled โ€œโ€˜This is why people arenโ€™t donating any moreโ€™ The outcry over charity CEOsโ€™ six-figure salariesโ€.

The sub-heading of the article reads โ€œAmid cut services, disbanded helplines and mass redundancies, the non-profit sector is struggling - but those in charge are still cashing inโ€.

The pictures featured are the charity bosses of Macmillan (Gemma Peters), Age UK (Paul Farmer) and Cancer Research UK (Michelle Mitchell), and lists their yearly salaries (ยฃ190,000, ยฃ180,000 and ยฃ276,000 respectively).

If you want to attract the very best, you need to pay them well. Itโ€™s that simple and shouldnโ€™t be controversial.
