JOYCE MESSIER - β€œOf bodies of water and forest-covered surfaces, clusters of light where the cities lie. You've seen the montage, we all have -- this world is enough,” she concludes.

CONCEPTUALIZATION - It *must* be. This is the greatest and kindest arrangement the atoms had in them.

Every time I see those stupid β€œit’s just a silly game the song didn’t need to go that hard” memes I’m always reminded of Casey Edwards describing making Bury the Light for Devil May Cry 5

rahh 1.0 tsuna is very fun to think about.

07.03.2026 23:15 πŸ‘ 6 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 0 πŸ“Œ 0

the public calling her jorōgumo when it couldn't be farther from the case. She's a type of character that holds so desperately onto the image of her virtue/chastity despite losing it a long time ago in every sense of the word. bc image was the most important thing for a maiko to maintain.

07.03.2026 23:12 πŸ‘ 1 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 0 πŸ“Œ 0

the intrigue around a new maiko reminds me of modern idol culture. everyone wants to know their business. For Tsuna to sort of rise thru the 'ranks' and become a beloved figure only for her to be suspected of a crime(s) that puts the neutrality of kugane in jeopardy would be a huge story I think

07.03.2026 23:12 πŸ‘ 1 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

I just really love a character receiving a very heavy title or name because of their deeds (good or bad), because the public has sensationalized them to such a degree and then the actual person could not be farther from that image.

if not incarcerated then at least he'd lose face and all his affluence from it. I still haven't decided if her fiancΓ© was A Good Guy but man I think he'd be pissed actually lol

07.03.2026 23:00 πŸ‘ 2 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

I thought about Tsuna getting some infamous nickname like 'spider lady' or jorōgumo in Kugane. Like 2 unsolved murders & arson w/ an unsuspecting ingenue like her at the center. I guess her fiancΓ© would probably be incarcerated by proxy with her as the prime suspect but she's already fled the city πŸ‘οΈ

Ishgard. Terrible memories + the people had never been kind to her there, even with Sid's protection or Aym's influence.

Kugane also because she's technically a fugitive. There would probably be wanted posters up still or she'd simply be too recognizable from her days as a maiko. #weaving-a-story

We're going monochrome again. This time it's due to the obvious theme of light/dark. The First is exceptionally colorful so it also makes her stand-out. Going all-black makes her a foil to Thancred come to think of it.

I'm learning that I like to talk about fashion.

1. This mash-up by jadehorror hit all the spots. The organic draping from the asphodelos top reminds me of apocalyptic fashion and Azem, and the yorha top is also from this expansion so it feels cohesive. She has frilly shorts to add some playfulness and the garters are tactical, I swear. There's also healing potion bottles strapped to her thigh for use in a pinch. This is her basic traveling attire.

2. Around the time of Malikah and Gulug's dungeons. She wears all black this time with accents of silver and red. We keep the playful frills with the socks and bloomers but the outfit feels more serious. I like referencing the 'exarchic' coat and edenmorn bottoms with this. After the defeat of Innocence, her hair and skin begin to change color.

3. She is in a coma for some time after Innocence. A simple, black knit top and white, wide-legged pants with a frog closure. Her hair, skin, and eyes have begun to lighten. She's not wearing her mother's ring anymore.

4. This one is just for fun. It's a bad-end AU, I suppose, complete with the 'villain gives protag a pretty dress to wear' trope lol. Besides the self-indulgence of it, the idea was E/met promises her a chance to turn to a Lightwarden in comfort and dignity. She wears a white, full-length dress with gold accents. Her skin and hair are nearly white and there are deep, painful-looking golden fissures across her skin.

5. The party at the end of Shadowbringers. Tsuna looks joyful, laughing and dancing. She wears silver accessories, ruffles around her arms, and an over-bust corset with a daring gown that shows off her legs. She still shows the aftereffects of her Light poisoning, but it will fade with time.

Reminder that pinning an image-only feed is peak.

People tend to say what annoys them, but show what they enjoy. So vibes are always better. It also makes interacting with art/cool things way easier.

And its helped me be online more without flooding my brain with the bad.

I remember learning about the Hays Code in film school and how it made it so that any amoral protagonist had to meet karmic justice by the end of the film and going β€œwow, that’s really silly” and then once a week I log online and see people argue that we need stuff like that now or it’s problematic

I am learning a lot about myself from doing that outfit series such as every expac has to end with Tsuna wearing a cute party dress lmao

CRIES thank you!! I love the idea personally. A healer having some hang-ups and self-doubt because of people they couldn't save, and there's so many in HW. The road is paved with the dead and all.

I went a little extra on Tsuna's experience so she has even more reason to feel badly about it lolπŸ˜”

y'know, while i adore most of the female characters in 14 and have obvious faves (y'shtola, halmarut, etc), writing-wise, i love how they wrote ryne. a girl always destined to die, who could never be "her," who had to become herself, just guts me, man.

I don't mind it because it's an mmo of course. but I like to think of it in terms of a book or story and take out a lot of the 'video game' aspects so it reads better. Having the narrative switch to the scions point of view would enrich it a lot I think.

06.03.2026 23:10 πŸ‘ 1 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

Yeah! I do like it in ARR because it feels like the Scions are still building their ranks and tho they're studied & accomplished they still use wol like a weapon, but in SHB they all feel very rooted in their abilities. In my head most 'dungeons' they can do themselves w/o wol.
